HILL COLLEGE HOUSE STUDENT MANAGERS

  • OFFICE MANAGER

This position reports directly to the House Coordinator/House Director. Responsibilities for this position include assisting with administrative tasks such as answering and fielding calls, responding to house emails, and answering general inquiries from Hill residents and guests who visit the House Office. Additionally, Office Managers will complete basic clerical responsibilities such as assisting with data entry, budget tracking and reconciliation, making photocopies, printing/laminating materials, and keeping the House Office organized.  Hill Office Managers will also be responsible for contributing to Hill’s weekly newsletter.  Office Managers will be tasked with running errands around campus, whether it’s picking up and dropping off packages or checking the Hill House mailbox in Stouffer Commons, as well as fulfilling any other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Dependable, excellent customer service and communication skills, and basic organizational skills. All Hill employees should be personable, reliable, and responsive to emails, texts, phone calls, etc., and excited about the house and house events, as well as in good standing in the house and willing to work on a team.

 

  • MARKETING MANAGER

This position reports directly to the House Coordinator/House Director. Responsibilities for this position include designing professional marketing/promotional materials for house-wide events, such as well-designed flyers. The other main responsibility for this position includes updating house bulletin boards, and designing and distributing the weekly Hill newsletter on MailChimp, which includes promotions, photos, small articles, and upcoming Hill, Penn, and Philly events and should be released every Monday through the Hill House email account. You will also be expected to take many of these items and convert them into more visually appealing designs to use for future purposes, as well as fulfilling any other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Dependable, excellent communication skills including writing and editing, creativity, familiarity with and interest in social media and marketing platforms, as well as strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills. Marketing Managers should be proficient in Adobe InDesign and/or Adobe Photoshop.  All Hill employees should be personable, reliable, and responsive to emails, texts, phone calls, etc., and excited about the house and house events, as well as in good standing in the house and willing to work on a team.
